CalAmp's BLE (Bluetooth low energy) tag solution is named iOn Tags. For more information about iOn Tags, refer to the iOn Tag Application Note.

The iOn Tag solution is available with a full integration into CalAmp’s iOn application. You can also use iOn Tags with other telematics service providers (TSPs) by retrieving iOn Tag data from CTC.

iOn Tag Devices and Events

In CTC, iOn Tags exist as a device type, similar to how LMUs and TTUs are devices. iOn Tags are provisioned into the customer account when they are purchased.

Tag data is received by CTC as event data, just as LMUs and TTUs send event data to the platform, and you can download iOn Tag events just as you would download LMU data.
